No one was injured when a car hit a deer on State Route 44 in Sharon Township on Saturday, November 5th.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police in Coudersport in a report, 76-year-old James C. Carpenter of Willoughby, Ohio, was headed north in a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 300 at about 7:35 p.m. The car hit a deer before becoming disabled. The crash occurred on Stevens Street, and the specific location of the crash was 623 feet to the east of Oswayo Street.


Carpenter and his passenger, 69-year-old Kathleen M. Speidel of North Ridgeville in Ohio, were both uninjured. They were both wearing their seat belts.
