Department of Conservation and Natural Resources logoAs weather conditions have been dry, campfires are currently not permitted at the Tioga State Forest.

The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources initially put the campfire restriction in place in July because of the dry weather. Campfires are only permitted at the following campgrounds: Hoffman, Asaph, County Bridge, and Tiadaghton. Campfires must be in appointed fire rings. Remember to extinguish campfires if they are left unattended.

If you would like more information about the campfire restriction, you can call the Tioga State Forest offices at (570) 724-2868.
