A work release inmate at Tioga County Prison is facing an escape charge following an incident that took place on Tuesday, October 11th.

According to Tioga County detective Scott Henry, 35-year-old Aaron J. Low allegedly drove off in a vehicle he did not have permission to enter. Low allegedly would not go back after authorities contacted him on his mobile phone. A “be on the lookout for” alert was put out for Low. People reported seeing Low in places in Tioga County as well as in Elmira, NY. On Friday, October 14th, Low was back in Tioga County Prison. You can read Low’s court report below:

Magisterial District Judge Robert L. Repard on October 14th, 2016, presided over the preliminary arraignment for Low. Low was arraigned at the Magisterial District Court 04-3-02. Low was assigned bail in the amount of $50,000.  Low was unable to meet bail and was remanded to the Tioga County Prison pending the next hearing. A formal arraignment is scheduled for November 7th, 2016, at 8:30 a.m.

Scott Henry of the Tioga County Detectives is listed as the arresting officer for Low. The charges relate to an alleged incident that happened on October 11th, 2016.
