Two people were injured in a rollover crash that occurred in Richmond Township on Monday, September 19th.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police, 48-year-old Honi I. Heim of Covington was driving a GMC Envoy on Brooklyn Street when it rolled over. According to a Wellsboro Gazette report, Mansfield Fire Chief Jim Welch said that Heim was ejected from the vehicle.

Heim was seriously injured. She was taken to a trauma center in the region via Guthrie Air. Her passenger, 54-year-old John R. Frith of Covington, had minor injuries. Frith was taken to Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital via ambulance. Frith was wearing his seat belt. The GMC Envoy became disabled, and it will be towed by American Truck Stop.

A Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital ambulance and fire and ambulance personnel in Mansfield helped at the scene. The PSP are continuing to look into the crash. The Tioga Freedomist extends our thoughts and prayers to the families of the injured.
