This past Friday, June 2nd, an 8-year old boy went missing after he was swept away in the Susquehanna river.  The incident happened around Duncannon, PA.  Yesterday, at 11am, the body of the missing boy was found.  His identity was confirmed by a family member.


The boy was playing with his 10-year old brother in a creek that joins up with the Susquehanna River.  He disappeared around 2:18PM Friday.

PA State Police Spokesman Brent Miller said the boy’s name was being held for the time being.  An autopsy will be completed by Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick.

“This is obviously a very difficult situation,” Miller stated. “It’s a sad day for everybody involved.”
A massive search was conducted that involved multiple fire departments, volunteers, a police helicopters, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, and the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
