A Mansfield man who has been wanted on several charges by the Old Lycoming Township Police Department is now behind bars in connection with a robbery at the Richmond Township Walmart back in April.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, 23-year-old Alan Michael Dodge is accused of robbing the Richmond Township Walmart on April 30th. Dodge allegedly searched for a vehicle that was unlocked at Costy’s Salvage Yard prior to the robbery. He allegedly stole a Covington man’s Jeep after finding the keys in the vehicle. The vehicle was parked at Costy’s Energy Services. Dodge allegedly headed north in the Jeep.

Dodge was allegedly at the Walmart at approximately 8:15 p.m. He allegedly passed a note to a clerk who was working at the customer service desk. The note read “I have a gun calmly hand over all the money.” Then, Dodge allegedly took some cash before fleeing the store. The exact amount of money that Dodge allegedly took is not known at this time.

A few customers followed Dodge out of the store. Once Dodge was by the Jeep, two men attempted to keep him from leaving. According to reports, a woman opened the passenger side door and tried to get the keys. Dodge allegedly drove off, and the woman was run over by the Jeep’s rear tires. According to police, the woman suffered a skull fracture, a sprained ankle, and other injuries that were not considered to be serious. The woman was taken to Sayre’s Robert Packer Hospital via helicopter.

According to reports, the Jeep was discovered on May 6th in a ditch in Reeves County, Texas, by Texas Rangers. Also according to reports, Dodge’s social security card and driver’s license were found in the Jeep. People that traveled with Dodge said that he had allegedly went on a “road trip” with them. He allegedly had $3,000 in cash during the road trip. Dodge had allegedly stopped in Florida before he went to Texas.

In a separate case, Dodge allegedly robbed a Sheetz in Loyalsock Township on April 25th. He allegedly took about $150 from the cash register.

Magisterial District Judge James E. Carlson on November 7th, 2016, presided over the preliminary arraignment for Dodge. Dodge was arraigned at the Magisterial District Court 04-3-03. Dodge was assigned bail in the amount of $100,000. Dodge was unable to meet bail and was remanded to the Tioga County Prison pending the next hearing. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 23rd, 2016, at 10:30 a.m., also in front of Magisterial District Judge James E. Carlson.

Todd M. Wagaman of the Pennsylvania State Police in Mansfield is listed as the arresting officer for Dodge. The charges relate to an alleged incident that happened on April 30th, 2016.
