Editor Johnny Berguson was on the scene. The house on Mulberry Hill in Mansfield was very much engulfed in flames by the time the fire department could arrive. I saw smoke as he was driving in that direction. Immediately I heard the sirens that call the fireman to the station. Suddenly there were flames that got much larger. The fire department had a very rapid response, but the house was mostly engulfed with flames. The house was just off Valley Road in Mansfield and the flames were easily visible from Route 6 with black smoke towering into the sky.
There are no reports of injuries. The Tioga Freedomist will add more information as we receive it.
