Malaysia Prime Minister Makes Announcement
By Lonny Frost
Many people are still asking if Flight 370 has actually been located, as many reports continue to claim that a debris field has been located in the Indian Ocean.
Although recovery ships are expected to reach the area sometime this evening or early Tuesday morning to retrieve and identify the possible debris. Many family members hope officials will know for sure soon.
New technology was used and reportedly has determined the jet’s whereabouts. While satellite images and photos taken from two separate search planes show what looks like plane wreckage debris floating for several square miles in the search area.
Around 11:00 AM Prime Minister Najib Razak, of Malaysia announced the following statement on Flight MH370 which had 239 lives on board:
“Based on new analysis….MH370 flew along the southern corridor and that its last position was in the middle of the Indian Ocean west of Perth,” Razak stated Monday. “It is therefore, with deep sadness and regret, that I must inform you that according to this new data that flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean.”
This statement was made, although no actual confirmation has yet been made by recovery teams in the area. However, in all likelihood all fear that with the growing debris field seen, that this may be what remains of MH370.
Even with the announcement by the Prime Minister, many are still skeptical. The fact remains that there has not been any real evidence seen by recovery teams, let alone, been retrieved from the ocean at this time.
