Sadly, the body of a Towanda man missing since Wednesday was found on Thursday, September 1st.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda, 69-year-old Marwill Gillette was last seen on Wednesday at about 10:00 a.m. at his Sheshequin Road home. Police began looking for him on Wednesday, and they resumed their search on Thursday. At about 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, Gillette’s body was found behind his home in a wooded area.


Police are still investigating the cause of death. Ulster EMS, Guthrie Air, Bradford County Coroner’s Office, North Towanda Fire Department, and Ulster-Sheshequin Fire Department all helped the PSP at the scene.
